Christmas Celebration

In France, Christmas is an important moment! The inhabitants (towns and countryside) decorate their homes and buy Advent calendars. Thus, the living rooms are lined with candles and fir trees. In general, French people opt for potted fir trees to prolong the magic of the moment. The fragrant tree is adorned with garlands and balls while a shimmering star is added to the top. Of course the Christmas gifts will be deposited only on the 24th of December in the evening to allow unpacking the next morning. Some families have a tradition of depositing cookies and a glass of milk near the tree to thank Santa Claus.
